A story...

I picked P. up at daycare the other day and her teacher told me a funny story about P.

It went something like this....

Her teacher was reading a book about love to the children. After she was finished, she went around the circle and told each child she loved them, then she asked them who else loved them.
Beren said "Mommy!"
Julia said "grandma"
Conner said "Daddy"

and my child said emphatically, "Jesus!"

I guess she is absorbing what they are telling her in Sunday school!

Attitudinal toddler

Lately, we have noted why people call this stage of childhood the "Terrible Two's"
I refuse to call it that because I think I may bring upon myself bad luck...but I definitely am experiencing the changes in P. and her will to exert herself and tell us what she really thinks.

In the past few weeks she has learned and repeated many different sayings. Not all sayings are cute.
Up until now, we dealt with the word "NO" a lot ...but it has evolved.

Like, for instance:

"I already told you NO!"

or

"I said, leave me alone!"

And the tantrums! Oh, the tantrums.

Well, even though we are going through these growing pains, she is still an adorable little person who I love to bits.
And I am sure you can see why!
